Avocado & Berry Smoothie
This drink has a lovely smooth thick texture which tastes surprisingly good. Avocado is a good alternative for bananas in smoothies.
We have developed this recipe as some have an intolerance to bananas and are looking for another alternative, which makes avocado a perfect ingredient.
The benefits of using avocado is it contains no cholesterol and little saturated fat, good source of folate and fibre making this a healthy ingredient option.
Ingredients
1/2 avocado
1 cup fresh apple juice
6 strawberries, hulled
1/2 cup blueberries
3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
Handful ice
Method
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Serve immediately.
