The incredible footage of a rare 'sun halo' captured the world's attention earlier this month.
Now, NASA has revealed the science behind the amazing phenomenon.
The breathtaking clip was captured by Ludvig Lundin, a skier at the Vemdalen resort in central Sweden, and when he shared the footage to Facebook, over five million visitors to the site viewed the eye-catching distortion.
