Often confused with cubic zirconia, Zircon is a gemstone in its own right, and has been revered as a protective stone for centuries. Its color varies from colorless, deep red, reddish brown, brown, gray, blue, golden yellow and orange. Many Zircons may be heat-treated to increase color density.
